My Top 10 | Months 4-6

Months 4-6 Top 10
Again…love our SleepSacks!  They are just the right weight and I love the material.  For an active baby like Finley (active day and night), these are great because no matter where she goes in her crib and how often she rolls over she stays covered up and warm (and will *usually* fall back to sleep).

2.  Spoons

These soft tipped spoons are the perfect size for her at this age and they don’t hurt the gums.  These have the totally unnecessary bonus of turning white when they are too hot.  Really?

3.  Clip-On High Chair

Finley never really took to her Bumbo seat…which is a shame because I know most moms rave about them.  I basically forced the Bumbo on her until she was strong enough to sit up a bit better by herself, and then we started using this clip on booster chair.  We have a regular high chair in the garage, but this is just so convenient that we haven’t gotten it out yet.  I love that it doesn’t take up any space and it folds up flat so if we wanted to take it with us somewhere it would be easy to take along.

4.  Ergo Baby

Now that Finley is a little bit bigger she is more comfortable in the Ergo than she was when she was a smaller baby.

5.  Rattle/Toy/ Teether

Really I should have included a photo of my iPhone, her finger, or her toes…because those seem to be her top picks for things to chew on.  Of the many toys and teethers that we have Sophie the giraffe seems to be the only one she actually uses for chewing/teething.  Her other favorite toy is this butterfly looking rattle.

6.  Huggies Overnites

It seemed that I had the choice of either changing Finley in the middle of the night or doing laundry when she woke up wet the next morning.  I didn’t think that overnight diapers would be any different, but they are and they work!  Now if only I could get Finley to sleep through the night consistently….

7.  Boppy Lounger

Finley still loves to roll over onto her stomach.  And still can’t figure out how to roll back to her back.  There are times that she’ll roll over and fuss until you flip her back over (at which time she immediately rolls back to her stomach again).  I love this pillow because when I need to do something (make dinner, etc) and put her down she stays on her back for a while and plays with her toes or toys.

8.  Camilia

I’ll start by saying that we had a very easy time with Finley’s first two teeth.  No swollen gums and hardly any fussing.  She did have a few times that I could tell she was hurting, though…and a dose of camilia did the trick to get her calmed down (and asleep).  I like that this is a natural option and it helps with symptoms other than just pain.

9.  Baby Food Storage Containers

I’ve been making Finley’s baby food in big batches at home and freezing it.  For the most part I puree the food and divide it into an ice cube tray, freeze, pop the cubes out and store them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.  It’s nice to have a set of these containers, though.  They stay organized in the freezer/refrigerator and the reusable containers are handy for sending food to daycare.  I’ll either let the frozen puree thaw in the refrigerator the night before, or I’ll pop a couple of frozen cubes into a container and let them thaw overnight that way.

10.  Baby Einstein Jumper

Finley loves this thing.  So I love this thing.  Lots of entertainment for sure!  And as soon as she gets bored with one thing she can twist around to look at another.
