Juicing is an idea that we’ve toyed around with for a while (since we registered for wedding gifts, really) as a way to get more fruits/veggies in our diet. Something that neither of us are very good at. I love veggies, but with our busy lifestyle I usually default to something quicker/easier (translation = fatty and unhealthy). We’re not planning on going on a juice diet or cleanse, just something to add in a few more servings of fruits/veggies each day. Admittedly, it’s also kind of fun to play around with new recipes and combinations. And if we come up with a bad combination, it’s easy enough to chug down a glass of crap. We decided to ease our way into juicing this past week and started off mainly with fruits (because you really can’t go wrong with fruit juice) and slowly start working veggies into the mix. [We took a lot of ideas from THIS post to get started and made adjustments for the fruits that we got in our Bountiful Basket]
