Newborn Photos | Round 2

I told Stehvn before Teagan was born that I was excited that she would be arriving at the peak of the bloom of these purple “flowers” (or weeds…however you’d like to look at them).  I had big ideas about trying an outdoor newborn shot with her.  However, once she was here and we’d settled in at home I didn’t have it in me to set the whole thing up and shoot myself.  So I was very excited when our newborn photographer asked if I felt up for playing around with some outdoor shots!  This one came out gorgeous…much more peaceful than it actually was.  Haha.  We’d started out at Merrill Park for some shots and then moved onto this empty lot off the side of the road for one more shot with flowers.  We spent more time than we should have at the park and almost missed out on this shot.  We got to the spot just as the sun was going down…and by this time Teagan was hungry and awake.  So there I was…sitting on the side of the busy road breastfeeding the little monster to try to get her calm enough for just one shot.  One shot.  That was all we needed.  Luckily Tara was able to crank up her ISO to get this shot about 20 minutes after sunset.  I can’t wait to see the rest.  Stay tuned…
