With some time at home while mom is on maternity leave and dad is about to start summer break we figured it would be a good time to try potty training again.  Really try this time.  So…this morning we battled back and forth about going potty.  She refused.  There were tears and fighting.  I told her that if she went I would take her to the aquarium where she could pet snakes and see the fish.  Of course she was excited for this…but still refused potty.  FINALLY around noon she went.  We celebrated, high-fived, and packed up to go to the aquarium.  Oh boy did she love petting the snakes, stingrays, sharks, and lizards!  If you’ve ever been to the aquarium in Boise you know it’s not a big place.  Well, that didn’t stop us from spending over 2 hours there.  They even got the python out for her to pet on special request from her!  All this time we’ve been trying to bribe or reward potty training with candy…we should have been using snakes!
