Photographing toddlers can be tricky for countless reasons…but one thing that is always a bummer to me is how hard it is to photograph them in the beautiful golden hour.  During the summer (at least here in Idaho) the golden hour, or the hour right before sunset, is past bedtime for most little ones (at least it is for mine!) and pushing bedtime back is usually just a disaster and not even worth the attempt!  Sun sets early in the winter here, but that’s often accompanied by cold, unpleasant weather.  With the unseasonably warm weather we have been having here we had the perfect opportunity for some golden hour birthday photos!
