I haven’t posted tips on what to wear for your photo sessions in quite a while…two seasons to be exact. This time of year is crazy for us as photographers with the gorgeous fall colors, so this is going to be a quick post! I just wanted to throw out a few tips on one thing that really adds a lot of interest to your photos…accessories! I’m sure we’ve all heard the make-up tip that you’ll want to wear your make-up a bit heavier for photos than you would on a typical day…the same is true for accessories! It’s amazing what a scarf, chunky ring or necklace, or a great pair of earrings can do to add to your photos! They are a great way to add a pop of color or pull together colors in a group/family portrait! Let’s not forget belts as accessories. Whether you go skinny or thick…don’t leave the belt behind! Not only can they add some color/interest to your outfit…but they can also really pull the look together by giving you the curves that you need to look your best in any outfit! I often keep some scarves/belts/hats in the car with me when I go to photo shoots just in case we need to pop in an extra accessory. I’m always getting questions about where I get my hats or fun jewelery that I bring along…so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite shops…check them out…you won’t be sorry that you did.
Looking for fun jewelery without breaking the bank? Check out Bauble Bar…they have fun, trendy jewelery at great prices…and free shipping (my favorite!). Click HERE and get $10 off your first purchase when you sign up!
Etsy is a great place to find unique accessories…and a great way to support a small business! Here are a few of my favorite shops for accessories:
Grace & Lace | Leg Warmers/Boot Socks
Joyfolie | Kid’s Shoes & Boots
And here is a little gem that I’m currently eyeing on BaubleBar…unfortunately it’s out of stock. Crossing my fingers that I can get it off of the wait list! I’m normally a silver person, but this time of year I can’t get enough gold!
