I get a lot of questions each year about where to find clothes for the kiddos that will work well for family photos.  The best advice I can give when choosing outfits for everyone is to start with one piece that you love and work with colors from that!  Keep patterns simple (limit to one person in a heavy pattern and the rest solids with coordinating colors or very small patterns).  And of course…since weather this time of year can be unpredictable (we may sweat or we may freeze) be sure to have some layering options if needed.  Most importantly…don’t stress too much about what everyone is wearing…we are planning to capture your family and family connections, not your clothing…when in doubt just keep it simple!  I’m including some affordable options below from some stores that can be found locally or online.  Each photo is clickable if you’d like to visit their site or check availability.

I love starting off with a multi-color plaid like this and pulling some colors from the print for the rest of the family to wear!  This plaid is available in both girls and baby/toddler.

Target |  Of course!  They have the cutest little fall outfits for the girls and boys…as well as plenty of solids and basics to mix and match!

If matching/coordinating prints with your minis is your thing Old Navy has quite a few sets of matching print tops/dresses for mamas, girls, toddlers, and baby!  I think this sweet floral dress might be my favorite but there are a lot more options also!
