Gilbert Family | 2012

Summer like temperatures in April, Anderson Ranch Dam Reservoir, and a fantastic family certainly had the makings for a great photo session; and a wonderful session is what we got.  I have worked with both James and Danni since I began teaching and was actually Danni’s student when she first started teaching at Mountain Home High School.  With James as a district administrator and Danni as my department chairman I can credit both for my wonderful experiences teaching in Mountain Home.  Aside from my admiration for them in the professional realm, I have a greater respect for Danni’s determination in her current battle against cancer.  In September of 2010 she was diagnosed stage IV, metastatic colon cancer and her willpower and ability to combat adversity has been nothing but inspirational.   What is clearly evident in the photos is the loving support she constantly receives from her husband and her two beautiful daughters.  This session really gave me the opportunity of witnessing the interactions of a wonderful, compassionate family and certainly leaves me hoping I will be as fortunate in having a family like theirs in the future.  Thank you so much Gilbert Family for such a fun, laid-back session and for also allowing Kelly and I to hang out after the session.  We certainly enjoyed the company and wonderful weather on the reservoir!
